Their reward is seeing how perfectly manicured their lawns look, and it is this that is the motivation behind the never ending task of keeping the grass in check. It's OK for those of us who have grown up with lawn moving for pocket money on a Saturday morning, because have some idea on what features we like. Your budget is also going to dictate to a large extent the lawn mower that you buy. such things as your physical fitness and wellness are things to consider, with the self propelled push lawn movers being worth the extra money for anyone who does not enjoy good health but still wants to be responsible for their own lawn maintenance.

Choosing a lawn mover that has plenty of power, is reliable and cuts well means that our task in record time, leaving more time for our family and friends. This is very important for those of us that enjoy a busy lifestyle with not much free time on weekends.
Thankfully technology has seen great improvements made to the lawn mover. It wasn't all that many years ago that these noisy machines were incredibly difficult to start and just plain difficult to get along with. Now with their superior blades and instant ignition they are a joy to use.
The lawn mover has been around for a long time. In fact around 150 years ago it made its debut as the reel mower back in the 1820's. As outdoor sporting activities such as croquet, lawn bowls, cricket, tennis etc. gained in popularity, the lawn mover underwent massive technological advancements. It didn't take long for this technology to be incorporated into smaller for home use. The first rotary-blade lawn mover made its appearance back in the 1930's but today the push lawn mover is the one that is used extensively in our suburban gardens.
